Listening is an important part of music education. But, I don’t know about you, my students don’t always want to just sit and listen to a piece of music. It’s important to plan engaging listening lessons in elementary music that will help us introduce students to various genres and composers of music and work on those active listening skills that transfer to so many other areas outside of the music room.
