June Self Care

I think that teachers are notorious for putting themselves last, and I’m certainly not an exception. Between teaching, family, and outside obligations, it is hard to take the time to exercise, eat good foods, and take time for hobbies.

Some of my favorite ways to take care of myself include reading (fiction and personal development), playing with my baby and dog, playing with makeup, watching some of my favorite TV shows (we love Brooklyn 99 and Superstore), and watching teacher, book, or makeup related YouTube videos. Unfortunately, there are many days where these things just take too much time or I’m too exhausted.

With this in mind, I decided to create a calendar with a small step each day to help lead you toward a healthier summer. You’ll start by picking three goals that you want to work on, and then each day of the week has a specific theme in addition to keeping those goals in mind. I have included several categories that I find important to health- hydration, eating more vegetables, sleep, getting outside, and, of course, Coffee Fridays!

I hope you will join me in completing each day’s challenge! Feel free to download the calendar, and be sure to tag me on Instagram @caffeinated.j so we can have some accountability!
